Coccidiosis prevention and control in confined feedlot cattle:
Thoroughly mix 50 lbs. of SWEETLIX® 30:0 R-1200 High Grain Balancer Mineral with 1,950 lbs. of non-medicated feed. Feed 10 lbs. of this medicated mixture to treat a 1,000-lb. animal. Cattle should receive 0.14-0.42 mg monensin per lb. of body weight per day depending upon the severity of challenge.

Provide fresh, clean water to all animals at all times.

CAUTION: USE AS DIRECTED. Do not allow horses or other equines access to formulations containing monensin. Ingestion of monensin by equines has been fatal. Monensin medicated cattle and goat feed is safe for use in cattle and goats only. Consumption by unapproved species may result in toxic reactions. Do not exceed the levels of monensin recommended in the feeding directions, as reduced average daily gains may result. If feed refusals containing monensin are fed to other groups of cattle, the concentration of monensin in the refusals and amount of refusals fed should be taken into consideration to prevent monensin overdosing.  Consumption of selenium should not exceed 3 mg per head daily.

WARNING: A withdrawal time has not been established for pre-ruminating calves. Do not use in calves to be processed for veal. This product, which contains added copper, should not be fed to sheep or any species that have a low tolerance to supplemental copper.
