FEEDING AND MANAGEMENT:

Mixing Directions
For Anaplasmosis and Horn Fly Control in beef cattle over 700 lbs.:
Thoroughly mix 500 lbs. of SWEETLIX® IGR/CTC 4000 with 1,500 lbs. of non-medicated feed. Feed one pound of the medicated mixture to deliver 500 mg CTC and 11.3 mg IGR per head per day, the recommended rate for a 1,000-lb cow. Cattle over 700 lbs. should receive 0.5 mg CTC/lb. bodyweight per day and 22.7 to 45.4 mg IGR per 100 lbs. bodyweight per month (0.76 to 1.5 mg per CWT per day) for the stated drug claims. Four (4) ounces of this premix will deliver 500 mg CTC and 11.3 mg IGR.

For Anaplasmosis and Horn Fly Control in beef cattle 700 lbs. and under:

Thoroughly mix 350 lbs. of SWEETLIX® IGR/CTC 4000 with 1,650 lbs. of non-medicated feed and feed the resulting medicated feed at a rate of 1 lb. per head daily to deliver 350 mg CTC and 7.9 mg IGR. Cattle under 700 lbs. should receive 350 mg CTC per head daily and 22.7 to 45.4 mg IGR per 100 lbs. bodyweight per month (0.76 to 1.5 mg per CWT per day) for the stated drug claims.

For Bacterial Pneumonia and Horn Fly Control in beef cattle 1,000 lbs. and under:
Thoroughly mix 350 lbs. of SWEETLIX® IGR/CTC 4000 with 1,650 lbs. of non-medicated feed and feed the resulting medicated feed at a rate of 1 lb. per head daily to deliver 350 mg CTC and 7.9 mg IGR. Cattle under 1,000 lbs. should receive 350 mg CTC per head daily and 22.7 to 45.4 mg IGR per 100 lbs. bodyweight per month (0.76 to 1.5 mg per CWT per day) for the stated drug claims.

Fly Control Program
SWEETLIX® IGR/CTC 4000 prevents the development of horn flies in the manure of treated cattle, but it is not effective against existing adult flies. It may be necessary to use other control measures to reduce the population of existing adult flies. In order to achieve optimum fly control, SWEETLIX® IGR/CTC 4000 should be used in conjunction with other good management and sanitation practices. Start feeding SWEETLIX® IGR/CTC 4000 early in the spring before flies begin to appear and continue feeding throughout the summer and into the fall. SWEETLIX® IGR/CTC 4000 may be fed to cattle up to slaughter.
